Objective:To study the effect of using the DXM for the preterm premature rupture of membranes Methods:Retrospective study187cases preterm premature rupture of membranes in our hospital during2011-2004. According to whether used dexamethasone and the Number of treatments is divided into three groups:group A, prenatal unused dexamethasone; Group B, prenatal only used dexamethasone1time; Group C, prenatal used dexamethasone2-3times. Results:A group, the incidence of neonatal asphyxia was12.96%, B group, the incidence of neonatal asphyxia was11.67%, the incidence of neonatal asphyxia group C is1.37%.The difference between group A and group C with statistical significance (P<0.05), statistically significant differences between group B and group C (P<0.05).For the incidence of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, group A was10.91%, group B was8.33%,1.37%in group C. After statistical analysis, the difference between group A and group C with statistical significance (P<0.05) Conclusion:the preterm premature rupture of membranes using dexamethasone can effectively promote the newborn fetal lung maturity and reduce the incidence of neonatal asphyxia, neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, especially pregnant women used dexamethasone time more than24hours, significantly improved the survival rate of the newborn.
