ObjectiveTo evaluate the curative effect of the tenolysis and lateral puncture method combined with traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis on primary osteoarthritis of the knee and its dominance. At the same time compared the effect of the treatment with the traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis only. To explore the advantage of tenolysis and lateral puncture method combined with traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis, providing the basis for the optimization of the treatment of primary knee osteoarthritis of the knee.Methods80 cases of primary osteoarthritis of the knee were chosen from Zengcheng City Chinese Medicine Hospital Rehabilitation Department, which were randomly divided into treatment group (treated by tenolysis and lateral puncture method combined with traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis) and control group (treated by traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis), two groups of 40 cases. Both were treated once a day, All the data were through treatment after each end of course on which the evaluation of effect was based. Two groups were compared before and after the treatment of knee osteoarthritis symptoms grading quantization table, "Lequesne M G" osteoarthritis of knee scoring scale and SF-36 health questionnaire. The measurement data was analyzed by SPSS18.0.Results1. Comparison of two groups, before and after the treatment, the knee osteoarthritis symptoms of the treatment group had improved Obviously (P<.0.01), and the control group also had had improved (P<0.05). The difference before and after treatment in two groups were statistically significant; the two groups after treatment compared with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).2. According to the "Lequesne M G" score, the treatment group had significant difference (P=0.00<0.01); and the control group had no significant difference (P=0.60>0.05). After treatment, compared two groups, the difference was significant (P=0.00<0:01).3. Before and after treatment, the treatment group had no statistical significance on the physiological function of the quality of life (PF) before and after treatment, body pain (BP), social function, emotional function (SF) (RE), mental health (MH), P>0.05. But the treatment group had statistical significance on physiological function (RP), general health (GH), vitality (VT) and the total score.there had no statistical significance of control group before and after treatment on the physiological function of the quality of life before and after treatment (PF), physiological function (RP), body pain (BP), general health (GH), vitality (VT), social function, emotional function (SF) (RE), mental health (MH) and total scores of all aspects, P>0.05.There was statistical significance, comparing of physiological function after treatment, quality of life (RP), general health (GH), activity (VT), and the total score (P>0.05), and there was no statistical significance on the other aspects of quality of life(P<0.05).4. After two courses of treatment, the total efficiency of the treatment group was 92.1%, and the total efficiency of the control group was 62.5%. Comparing the two groups, the total was statistically significant difference in efficiency (P=0.00<0.01).ConclusionBoth the two treatments had improved the symptoms of patients with knee osteoarthritis, but the treatment group had better effect. The tenolysis and lateral puncture method combined with traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis could significantly improve the knee osteoarthritis severity effect, but the traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis had no obvious improvement. The treatment group had no statistical significance on improving the life of all aspects.About the total effect, both the two method of treatment had definite curative effect on primary osteoarthritis of the knee. And the tenolysis and lateral puncture method combined with traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis was better than the traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis on curing the primary osteoarthritis of the knee. |
