ObjectiveTreatment of chronic non-bacterial prostatitis accompanied with semen non-liquefaction by using transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS) to observe its clinical curative effect and probe into its mechanism.Methods80 cases of chronic non-bacterial prostatitis accompanied with semen non-liquefaction selected from the male outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, including 30 cases with sperm DNA damaged, were randomly divided into the treatment group of 40 cases, 40 cases in the control group, each group containing 15 cases with sperm DNA damaged. The treatment group was treated by Han’s Acupoint Nerve Serve stimulator(HANS)treatment, once a day; the control group was kept on taking terazosin hydrochloride, vitamin C and vitamin E for four weeks.According to chronic prostatitis symptom score(NIH- CPSI)as the standard of curative effect evaluation recommended by the National Institutes of Health(NIH), and through detecting seminal plasma acid phosphatase, seminal plasma zinc and WBC counts to observe the curative effect, the sperm DNA fragmentation rate of the patients with sperm DNA damaged must be detected.Results1. the symptom scores of the treatment group and the control group were both improved(P<0.01), the integral <14; by analyzing the scores of two groups, the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01).2. seminal plasma acid phosphatase and seminal plasma zinc concentration were both increased(P<0.01), the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05),.3. comparing sperm DNA fragmentation rate of two groups, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).4. white blood cell counts of two groups was decreased(P<0.01), the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05) shared the equivalent efficacy.5. Through comparing two groups of total curative effects, the treatment group obtained better effects than the control group(P<0.01).ConclusionPercutaneous electrical stimulation of acupuncture points on the treatment of chronic prostatitis and semen liquefaction has certain effect and shows the advantages on the treatment of sperm DNA fragmentation damaged.
