| Background:Depression and anxiety is the common complication of cerebral hemorrhage, which seriously affect physical and mental health of patients. Expectations closely related with physical and mental health of patients, at the same time, response were related to behavior and emotion of pations, that all were concerned to mention. The clinical nursing intervention used for the study of depression and expectation can improve the quality of care and provide theoretical bases for mental nursing after cerebral hemorrhage. Objective:We developed this research to explore the effect of healthy education on the level of depression, response and expectation of the patients.Method:The subjects were selected from the neurological ward of QiLu hospital affiliated to Shandong University between March 2004 and January 2005. We selected 180 cases of patients with cerebral hemorrhage. The nurse will conduct the individualized health education for the patients. The scales used before the intervention of health education were as follows:the demographic questionnaire, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, STAI; Herth Hope Scale, HHS; Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire, MCMQ; Trait Coping Style Questionnaire, TCSQ; scales used after the intervention of health education were State -Trait Anxiety Inventory, STAI; Herth Hope Scale, HHS; Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire, MCMQ; Trait Coping Style Questionnaire, TCSQ. We used t-test to analysis the study variables before and after the intervention, in order to explore changes about the study variables; the correlation analysis was used to search the relationship between response and anxiety/Expectations, before and after the intervention.Results(1)180 questionnaires were recovered.(2)The anxiety level of patients with cerebral hemorrhage was reduced significantly after the intervention of health education, with statistical significance;(3) The hope level of patients with cerebral hemorrhage was improved dramatically after the intervention of health education, with statistical significance;(4) The coping style of patients with cerebral hemorrhage was changed positively after the intervention of health education, with statistical significance;(5)The coping style of patients with cerebral hemorrhage correlated significantly with the level of anxiety and hope.Conclusions(1)Health education significantly reduced the level of anxiety, especially the state anxiety of cerebral hemorrhagic patients;(2)Health education dramatically increased the level of hope of patients with cerebral hemorrhage;(3)Health education can improve effectively the poor insight of patients with cerebral hemorrhage;(4)The coping style of patients with cerebral hemorrhage correlated significantly with the level of anxiety and hope. |
