Objective: To observation and research the effects of porous hight-density polyethylene implanted material(Medpor surgical implant)in the reconstruction of obrital fracture. Methods:Fourteen cases(fourteen eyes)for orbital fracture treated by porous hight-density polyethylene implanted material during surgery.Visual acuity, the degree of enophthalmos, infection were estimated in 3-6 months afer opration and preoperation. Results: The operative eyes enophthalmos relative preperative significantly improve.visual acuity were no damage, the facial appearance is satifactory,CT scan review orbital fracture repair well, connective tissuecompletely reconvered, the repairing meterials does not moving. There was no rejection, extrusio, infection orother complications occurred during follow-up.Conclusion: Porous high-density polyethylene biological material is a good tissue compatibility. It is very convenient, safe and reliable in clinical. It is one of the best material to repair orbital fractures.
