ObjectiveThe small sample randomized controlled method is used in this research to compare two groups’clinical effect on cervicodynia of cervical-type cervical spondylopathy, in order to evaluate the efficacy and priority of electronic warm needle and to develop a new treatment for cervical-type cervical spondylopathy with neck pain in clinic.MethodsThe 62 standard objects, from the school of guangzhou university of TCM and the acupuncture clinic in the first affiliated hospital of guangzhou university of TCM, were randomly divided into treatment group and control group in a 1:1 ratio. The electronic warm needle was used in treatment group and the ordinary acupuncture in control group. Both of groups were treated once every other day, three times a week in a course of treatment. The curative effect was observed after 2 courses of treatment. The Northwick Park neck-pain scale and the short-form pain questionnaire (SF-MPQ) were used to evaluate at the front and back treatment in order to compared the abirritation and observe the clinical curative effect of two Therapies.ResultsThere are no statistical difference of age, gender, course, the Northwick Park neck-pain scale and the short-form pain questionnaire between treatment group and control group before treatment (P>0.05).After 2 courses of treatment, the percentage of NPQ, MPQ total score and clinical efficacy in two groups compared with those before have statistical significance (P<0.05); And the treatment group is better than the control group in treating cervicodynia of cervical-type cervical spondylopathy, with significant difference (P<0.05). In the aspect of clinical effect, the result shows that the cure rate, markedly effective rate and total effective rate are significantly better in electronic warm needle group than in o ordinary acupuncture group after treatment (P<0.05).ConclusionBoth two treatments can effectively relieve the cervicodynia of Cervical-type cervical spondylopathy, and the electronic warm needle group is better than the ordinary acupuncture group. Electronic warm needle therapy is apply in clinic without adverse reactions, with a certain security, positive clinical effect, is worthy for clinical application.
