Objective: To master the pollution degree of the enterprise noise uponoccupational exposed population in occupational environment of suzhou industrial park, the occupational health problems caused by noise was investigated in some enterprise inZuzhou Industrial Park. We explored the relationship between the hearing damage andthe noise exposure dose, age, length of service, classes of work, then analyzed thefactors such as age, smoking, drinking, which influenced on the hearing loss. Methods: Noise exposure sites were randomly selected in Suzhou Industrial Parkworkplaces. We monitored the noise intensity, evaluated the environment hygiene, collected the health examination data included the worker’s age, gender, occupationalhistory, smoking, drinking situation. The questionnaire was inquired by full-timeoccupational diseases physicians check and register entry. Hearing loss and otheraspects of health status, such as dizziness, tinnitus, electrocardiogram, blood pressureand so on were detected in all subjects..Results:1.24noise exposure areas were chose in this study, and the noise intensitymonitoring showed that,33.6%of the24areas (9in24areas) exceeded the standard ofnoise made by Ministry of Health, China. We chose48noise measurement sites amongthe9high noise-exposed areas, then monitored the noise intensity. The results showedthat the values of noise intensity ranges from86.9dB(A) to107.9dB(A), the meanvalue was89.7dB(A), which was decreased compared with the values detected in theyear2011and2012. Conversely, the noise intensity detected in the15lownoise-exposed areas ranged from26.9dB (A) to76.9dB (A), with an average of41.7dB (A). 2. The questionnaire investigation and the health examination data showed that therelevance ratio of hearing loss in high noise-exposed group was8.98%, which wassignificantly higher than control group (2.90%)(p<0.01). Besides, theelectrocardiographic abnormality rate (17.96%) and the incidence of hypertension(12.28%) in noise-exposed group was also obviously higher than control group (P<0.01).Furthermore, the damages caused by noise exposure on nervous system were mainly fordizziness, tinnitus, the incidence was11.68%and7.19%, respectively.3. We divided the high noise-exposed group into four groups (~89dB,90dB~94dB,95dB~99dB,100dB~) according to the noise intensity. Compared the relevanceratio of hearing loss among four groups we found that with an increase of the noiseintensity, the relevance ratio of hearing loss also increased gradually, which wasdetected as4.40%,8.25%,15.08%and16.22%, respectively. Similar results were alsoobserved in the groups divided according to age of individuals and the noise-esposedyears. In addition, we also analyzed the differences of the relevance ratio of hearing lossamong different types of work and found that the most hazardous type of work was steelforging work, followed by sheet metal stamping work, aluminum alloy polishing workand enterprise welding work. The relevance ratio of hearing loss was14.71%,12.17%,9.62%,and6.78%, respectively.Conclusion:1. The fraction of noise exposure areas in companies surveyed was33.6%, themean value of noise intensity in9high noise-exposed areas was89.7dB(A), whichwas decreased compared with the values detected in the last two years, showing thatoccupational environment of suzhou industrial park was more and more good.2. the relevance ratio of hearing loss in high noise-exposed group wassignificantly higher than control group, the electrocardiographic abnormality rateand theincidence of hypertension in noise-exposed group was also obviously higher thancontrol group, the damages caused by noise exposure on nervous system were mainlyfor dizziness, tinnitus.3. Hearing loss was closely related to the intensity of noise, length of service, age, classes of work can affect the occurrence of hearing loss. the most hazardous type of work was steel forging work, followed by sheet metal stamping work, aluminum alloypolishing work and enterprise welding work.
