ObjectiveIn order to understand the effect of noise on exposed workers’ health in a cigarette factory, this article analyzed the results of occupational health examination and the noise intensity in the workplace, thus makes some suggestions on how to control occupational noise damage and provide scientific basis for enterprises to formulate prevention and control measures for occupational diseases.MethodsIn this study,we selected workers who exposed to occupational noise only, noise combined with dust, noise combined with microwave from 2013 to 2015 as exposure groups and pre-job workers during this three-year period as control groups. The noise intensity and laboratory test indicators at the job site were tested including cardiovascular system(blood pressure and electrocardiogram),blood(hemoglobin, platelets, leukocytes, erythrocytes, neutrophils),urine(glucose in urine, urinary protein, urine occult blood)and hearing loss. The software of 22.0 was used to describe and analyze the data.2 test was applied for the qualitative data and logistic regression was used to analyze multivariate analysis.Result1.There were 351 workers exposed to nose, whose mean ages were 40.83±7.08 years and mean length of service was 7.28±5.08 years.333 workers were exposed to occupational noise and dust, with mean ages of 46.93±9.38 years and mean length of service of 12.17±7.29 years.181 workers were simultaneously exposure to occupational noise and microwave, with mean ages of 43.45±6.16 years and mean length of service of 13.57±6.77 years.186 pre-job workers were all men.The categories of job included drivers, maintenance workers, helpers, security workers, operatives, electricians and others.2.The results of noise intensity detection in the package workshop exceeded the standard in 2013-2015,and the noise intensity detection results in the primary processing workshop exceeded the standard in 2013-2014.The abnormal rate of noise intensity in package workshop was higher than primary processing workshop, the difference was significant.(P< 0.05).3.There was significant difference in blood pressure among workers exposed to occupational noise with different genders,ages,work-years and categories of job(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the rate of abnormal blood pressure among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave and the pre-job workers(P<0.05).4.The abnormal types of electrocardiogram of workers exposed to occupational noise alone were sinus velocity(6.70%),sinus slowness(6.30%),sinus irregularity(6.50%)and others(6.00%).There were significant differences in abnormal rate of electrocardiogram among occupational noise exposed workers with different years and lengths of service(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in abnormal rate of electrocardiogram among occupational noise exposed workers with different genders, ages and categories of job(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of electrocardiogram among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave(P>0.05).5.There were significant differences in abnormal rate of hemoglobin and platelet among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different genders, lengths of service and categories of job(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of erythrocytes among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different genders, ages, length of service and categories of job(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal leukocyte rate between workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different years, genders, ages, lengths of service and categories of job(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in platelet abnormalities among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different years and ages(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the hemoglobin, platelet and erythrocyte abnormalities among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in leucocyte abnormalities and neutrophils among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave(P>0.05).6.There was no significant difference in abnormal rates of alanine aminotransferase among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different ages and lengths of service(P>0.05).The abnormal rates of alanine aminotransferase among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different genders and categories of job were significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of alanine aminotransferase among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, and the combined noise and microwave(P>0.05).7.There was no significant difference in the abnormal rates of urine glucose, urinary protein and urine occult blood among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different genders, ages, lengths of service and categories of job(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of urinary occult blood among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave(P>0.05).Urinary protein and urine glucose were statistically significant among the workers exposed to noise alone, the combined noise and dust, the combined noise and microwave(P<0.05).8.There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of electrical audiometry among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different genders, living habits and blood pressures(P>0.05).There were significant differences in abnormal rate of electrical audiometry among workers exposed to occupational noise alone with different ages, lengths of service, categories of job(P<0.05).Conclusion1.In this tobacco factory, package workshop caused the most serious noise pollution, followed by the primary processing workshop.2.The influences of genders, lengths of service and categories of job on blood pressure, hemoglobin and platelet of workers exposed to occupational noise alone were statistically significant. The influence of gender on the alanine aminotransferase of workers exposed to occupational noise alone was statistically significant. The influence of lengths of service on electrocardiogram of workers exposed to occupational noise alone was statistically significant. The influence of ages on the blood pressure of workers exposed to occupational noise alone was statistically significant.3.The influences of ages, lengths of service and categories of job on hearing loss of workers exposed to occupational noise alone were statistically significant, while influences of difference genders, living habits and blood pressures on it were not significant.4.Multivariate analysis showed that age was an important risk factor for noiseinduced hearing loss.
