Objective:This clinical research observes efficiency of positive related active points, and compares with conventional acupuncture points for the sake of providing a new treatment thought and direction for primary insomnia.Method:The60patients with primary insomnia who meet the standards are randomly assigned into two groups, that is treatment group and control group. Patients in the treatment group are treated with positive related active points/area, and patients in the control group are treated with conventional acupoints (shenmen、yintang、 sishencong、anmian、shenmai、zhaohai). Each treatment carried every two days; every period contains seven treatments. There are two period for every patient. All patients are observed after PSQI, SDS, SAS as well as the transformation of clinical curative effect.Result:General data analysis indicates that there were no significant differences between the two treatment groups, so they have comparability. Through data analysis, it is indicated that contrasted with the pre-treatment data, the sleeping quality, sleeping duration, sleeping time, sleeping effectiveness, sleeping disorder, daytime function and PSQI total grade of treatment group reduced. The differences are significant and have statistical significance at P<0.01, and the hypnotic medication have statistical significance(P<0.05).The sleeping quality, sleeping duration, sleeping effectiveness, sleeping time, sleeping disorder, and PSQI total grade of control group are lower compared with those of pre-treatment,also the differences are significant which have statistical significance at P<0.01, and the hypnotic medication as well as daytime dysfunction have statistical significance (P<0.05).Comparison among the two groups, after treatment, the sleeping quality, sleeping duration, sleeping effectiveness, daytime function, and PSQI scores of treatment group are lower when contrast with the control group. The significant differences have statistical significance at P<0.05, and the sleeping time, sleeping disorders, hypnotic drugs have no significant difference (P>0.05). The comparison of two groups’SDS and SAS data after treatment shows that the differences have statistical significance at P<0.05. The clinical recovery rate, significant efficacy rate and total effective rate of treatment group are higher contrasted with data of control group, and the differences between the two groups of insomnia patients’clinical efficacy are significant, which has statistical significance at P<0.05. That means, the treatment group are superior than those of the control group. Conclusion:This clinical research results show that both the two groups’methods have the function of improving patients’sleeping time, sleeping disorders, hypnotic drugs, the differences don’t have statistical significance among the two groups, while the efficacy on sleeping quality, sleeping duration, sleeping effectiveness; daytime function, and PSQI total grade of treatment group are better than control group. Both the two groups’treatments can release the anxiety and depressive symptom, and the treatment group is better than the control group on this aspect. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group.
