Clinical Study On Active Ulcerative Colitis Treated With Wenjing Decoction

Objective: Clinical observation on the effect of Wenjing Decoction in the treatment of asdthenic splenonephro-yang and blood stasis type of active ulcerative colitis.Exploration the mechanism of Wenjing Decoction Treatment of asdthenic splenonephro-yang and blood stasis in the pathogenesis of UC from the aspects of clinical research and theory study.Methods:60 patients with UC were divided into two groups at random: the treatment group(30 cases) and the control group(30 cases).The treatment group was given Wenjing decoction,and the control group was given Mesalazine Slow Release Tablets.One course of treatment is set as 3 weeks in both groups. Then we observe the clinical efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment.Results:The clinic results showed that two groups both had a certain effect on treating the disease. The results of the treatment group(P<0.05)are better than those of the control group(P>0.05)in efficacy of TCM syndromes,TCM symptoms and signs of efficacy,and colonoscopy.During the whole course,the treatment group has no adverse reactions,while the control group has the adverse reaction,nausea,heartburn,intestinal function failure in the group using Mesalazin Enteric-coated Tablets.Conclusions: Test group Wenjing Decoction in TCM climate, TCM symptom total score, colonoscopy and side effects were better than those of the control group.So wenjing decoction is an effective prescription in treating asdthenic splenonephro-yang and blood stasis type of active ulcerative colitis. Its mechanism may be related to anti-inflammation,immune regulation,the consolidating of the mucosal barrier function,improvement of micro-circulation and so on.
