| Objective:Observation of the effects of Yishentongluo Decoction on sperm quality (semen volume, sperm concentration, sperm motility, activity rate, aberration rate) and sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI) of the patients with idiopathic asthenozoospermia before and after treatment, and compared with the control group (Vitamin E combined with Super-VITA tablets group) in each parameter of the improvement of sperm quality and DFI of the patients with idiopathic asthenozoospermia before and after treatment, to provide a scientific basis for the treatment of idiopathic asthenospermia.Methods:The cases were collected from reproductive center for integrative me-dicine in Henan province hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from septemb er,2013 to November,2014.90 patients with idiopathic asthenozoospermia wer e random-ized into two groups, among the 90cases,8 cases were dropped beca use of not according to the prescribed medication and not completing the treat ment cycle, in the end 82 patients were included in the analysis:42 cases in treatment group (Yishentongluo Decoction co-mbined with Vitamin E, Super-Ⅵ TA tablets group),40 cases in control group (Vitamin E combined with Super-ⅥTA tablets group). The day patients got initial diagnosis were considered as t he start date of treatment and observation, continuous observation for 12 weeks. Main parameters of semen quality and DFI before and aftertreatment of the tw-o group were recorded after 12 weeks. The 4th week after the treatment, the p-regnancy situation of the patient’s spouse was followed up.Results:Clinical observation data of the 82 patients is complete. Situations that influence the results and adverse reactions were not showed during the treatment.Among 42 cases in the treatment group, the cured case, significantly effective case, effective case, ineffective case is respectively 6,13,16,7, the total effective rate is 83.33%; among 40 in the control group, it is respectively 2,6,13,19, the total effective rate is 52.50%. By χ2 analysis, the treatment group is superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). By rank sum test, the treatment group curative effect is better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).The difference of semen volume between two groups had no statistically significance after treatment (P> 0.05); the treatment group can decrease aberration rate obviously(P< 0.05), the control group had no obvious effect on aberration rate(P > 0.05); The two group can both improve the sperm concentration, sperm motility, activity rate, decrease DFI after treatment, the treatment group is superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05)Conclusion:1 Yishentongluo Decoction can effectively improve the pregnancy rate of patient’s spouse in treating idiopathic asthenospermia of the kidney deficiency and blood stasis type syndrome. And the significance is remarkable, compared to control group.2 Yishentongluo Decoction can effectively improve sperm concentration, sperm motility, activity rate in treating idiopathic asthenospermia of the kidney deficiency and blood stasis type syndrome, decrease aberration rate and sperm DNA fragmentation index, clinical curative effect is remarkable.3 Through clinical research and theoretical discussion, we put forward that: kidney deficiency and blood stasis is the basic reason for idiopathic asthenospermia, tonifying the kidney and promoting blood circulation is an important method in treating idiopathic asthenospermia and decreasing the sperm DNA fragmentation index. |
