| Objective: To investigate the frequencies of B cells and regulatory B cells in peripheral blood patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo and the number of the cells after PBMC stimulated. To detect the expression of surface specific molecules on these cells. Methods: For 10 patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo and 10 healthy controls, the expression of CD19+B cells ã€CD19+IL-10+B cells ã€CD19+CD5highCD1dhighB cellsã€CD19+CD24highCD38highB cells in peripheral blood and the same molecules after PBMC stimulated were investigated by flow cytometry. Results: 1. After stimulation and culture of PBMC, the expression of CD19+IL-10+B cells in patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo significantly increased compared with the controls, whereas the expression of CD19+B cells was no significant difference between the two groups. The numbers of peripheral CD19+B cells and CD19+IL-10+B cells were no significant difference between the two groups.2. After stimulation and culture of PBMC, the expression of CD19+CD24highCD38highB cells in patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo significantly increased compared with the controls, whereas the expression of CD19+CD5highCD1dhighB cells was no significant difference between the two groups. The numbers of peripheralCD19+CD5highCD1dhighB cells and CD19+CD24highCD38highB cells were no significant difference between the two groups.3. The numbers of peripheral CD19+B cells and CD19+IL-10+B cells in patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo were not correlated with the VASI score. Conclusion: There were no difference of the population of B cells and regulatory B cells in peripheral blood between patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo and healthy controls. ProB10 cells may increased and the phenotypes of CD19+IL-10+B cells mostly express CD19+CD24highCD38high in patients with non-segmental progressive vitiligo. |
