Objective:Study N5,10- methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(Methylenetetrahydrofolate, reductase, MTHFR) the correlation distribution of C677 T gene polymorphism between and atherosclerosis of Han population in the Qinghai area of Xining.Methods:For 78 patients with arteriosclerosis patients and 76 cases of normal control subjects and peripheral venous blood samples were taken from DNA was extracted using polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length(polymerase chain glycyrrhizin fragment length polymorphism, PCR-RFLP) polymorphism analysis technique was used to detect the polymorphism of MTHFR gene, sequencing and electrophoresis genotype was determined. And the determination of brachial ankle pulse wave velocity(Ba-PWV), ankle brachial index(ABI), color Doppler ultrasound measurement of carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT). All of the subjects were collected general information of patients, detect oxygen saturation(oxygen saturation Sa O2), serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, C-reactive protein, homocysteine cysteine biochemical indicators.Results:(1) in Xining area Han atherosclerosis group and normal control group of MTHFR C677 T genotype frequency distribution was in accordance with Hardy Weinberg equilibrium(P >0.05), indicating that the sample is representative.(2) between the atherosclerosis group and normal control group TT genotype no significant difference(P >0.05), and between the two groups in the CT + gene when compared with statistical significance(P <0.05), T allele between the two groups compared with no statistical significance(P >0.05).(3) i variability(TC + TT) gene in Hcy was higher than that of CC and was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:MTHFR C677 T polymorphism gene mutation may and in Xining area of Qinghai of atherosclerosis related mechanism may cause mutations in Hcy metabolism disorder.
