Observation On Curative Effect Of Two Different Dose Of Tropisetron In Prevention Of Breast Cancer Chemotherapy Related Nausea And Vomiting

Objective:To explore the different doses of tropisetron in preventing nausea and vomiting induced by CE chemotherapy regimen for breast cancer,in order to compare the efficacy of different doses of tropisetron and occurrence of adverse effects.Methods:Eighty cases of breast cancer following modified radical mastectomy were randomly divided into the AB group(Before chemotherapy using tropisetron 2mg and during second stage using tropisetron 5mg) and the BA group(Before chemotherapy using tropisetron 5mg and during second stage using tropisetron 2mg).Both received CE chemotherapy regimen for the first time.The degree and frequency of CINV and adverse effects were observed in 72 hours.Conduct statistical analysis at last.Results: Using 2mg and 5mg doses of tropisetron to control acute nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, the incidence rates of acute nausea reaction are 53.75%and 51.25 %,there was no significantly difference of two groups(??=0.992,P>0.05);the incidence rates of acute vomiting reaction are 55%and 53.75%,there was no significantly difference of two groups(??=0.416,P>0.05);the incidence rates of delayed vomiting reaction are 71.25 % and 68.75 %,there was no significantly difference of two groups(??=0.192,P>0.05);the incidence rates of delayed nausea reaction are 31.25%and 61.25%,there was significantly difference of two groups(??=4.992,P<0.05),tropisetron 5mg was more effective than tropisetron 2mg in inhibiting delayed nausea.The cases of adverse reaction in using tropisetron 5mg were constipation 7,headache 5,dizziness 4;tropisetron 2mg cause the cases of adverse reaction fewer than tropisetron 5mg,respectively 4,3,2,however, there was no significantly difference of two groups(Χ2=0.896,P>0.05).Conclusion:tropisetron 2mg and 5mg can control acute nausea and vomiting induced by CE chemotherapy regimen for breast cancer effectively,furthermore,two doses of tropisetron induced few adverse effects.However,two doses of tropisetron control delayed nausea and vomiting is not enough.tropisetron 2mg is worth spreading clinically therapeutic dose to prevent nausea and vomiting.
