Objective:This study was aimed to learn the current status of the first-time mothers breastfeeding self-efficacy,analyze the effects of nursing interventions based on The Integrated Theory of Health Behavior Change for first-time mothers breastfeeding self-efficacy.Provide the evidence of the nursing intervention which advance the first-time mothers breastfeeding self-efficacy. Methods:This study was undertaken with a convenience sample from a tertiary hospital in Changchun city Jilin Provence from June to September 2015.A total of 80 first-time mothers were randomly into text group and control group,each group 40 first-time mothers.The text group was treated with the nursing interventions based on The Integrated Theory of Health Behavior Change,while in the control group was treated with normal health nursing only.Use for Dai xiaona breastfeeding self-efficacy questionnaire to evaluate the nursing interventions for the first-time mothers breastfeeding self-efficacy.The date was input by Excel 2007 and analyze by SPSS 17.0. Results:1.The antenatal breastfeeding self-efficacy scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 95.45±5.19 and 94.30±8.04;The antenatal breastfeeding knowledge scores before nursing intervention of intervention group and control group were respectively 10.13±1.60 and 10.80±0.94.There were no statistically significant differences in antenatal breastfeeding self-efficacy scores and breastfeeding knowledge scores between two groups(P>0.05).2.After the nursing intervention,the two groups scores of the breastfeeding self-efficacy.The 1st week postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 114.18±5.37 and 100.78±7.64.The 6th week postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 125.05±5.54 and 98.40±7.69.The 4th month postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 129.68±5.05 and 97.73±7.51.There were statistically significant differences in two groups(P<0.05).3.After the nursing intervention,the two groups scores of the breastfeeding knowledge.The 1st week postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 12.80±2.19 and 10.65±1.15.The 6th week postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 13.78±1.68 and 11.08±1.23.The 4th month postpartum scores of intervention group and control group were respectively 14.60±1.46 and 11.38±1.41.There were statistically significant differences in two groups(P<0.05).4.There were statistically significant difference in the exclusive breastfeeding rate in 1st week,6th week and the 4th month postpartum between two groups(P<0.05). Conclusions:1.In this study,Early prenatal maternal breastfeeding self-efficacy lower than similar foreign research,but also lower than the similar domestic economic developed cities research.2.Based on The Integration Theory of Health Behavior Change of nursing intervention theory improve the skill dimensions and the internal dimensions,which the skill dimensions is greatly improved.Health care should strengthen skill care intervention.3.Based on The Integration Theory of Health Behavior Change of nursing intervention to improve the first-time mothers breastfeeding self-efficacy,improved the breastfeeding knowledge and the exclusive breastfeeding rate,improving maternal breastfeeding status. |
