Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Acute Idiopathic Facial Paralysis Period Combined Scalp And Body Acupuncture

Objective:Study of scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture combined treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis in acute stage of clinical efficacy,and clinical treatment of acute idiopathic facial paralysis patients to provide a scientific and standardized and the curative effect is significant treatment method.Methods:There are 60 patients involved in this trial. All patients were randomly divided into scalp points combining with body acupuncture group (treatment group) and a body acupuncture group(control group).The two groups were treated with oral Prednisone Acetate Tablets as a basis for the treatment of acute; the control group receive the different methods of acupuncture at different stages in the affected side of SibaI、Yangba、Taiyang、Xiagua、Quanliao、 Kouheliao、Qianzheng、Dicang、Jiache、Yifeng and the both side of Hegu;the treatment group with scalp points on the basis of the control group,which located on the uninjured side of linea oblique anterior and posterior of lobus parietalis and temporalis under two fifths.The both of groups acupuncture treatment remain for fifty minutes,which was performed 7 times a course and treated for 4 treatment course. And the House-Brackmann Global Scores and FDI Scores.were applied to evaluate the facial function before treatment and after 4 treatment course.Results:1.To compare House-Braekfmann:After four course of treatment,the House-Braekfmann of two groups are significantly decreased than before treatment(P<0.05),and showing two groups of treatment after treatment are significantly,and the treatment group is significantly lower than the control (P<0.05).The healing rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were significantly higher than that of the control group and it shows that the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.To compare FDI:After four crouses of treatment, the FDIP of two groups are significantly improved than before treatment(P<0.01),and the FDIS of two groups are significantly decreased than before treatment(P<0.01). The FDIP and the FDIS of the two groups were significantly different between the two groups,which showing that two treatment methods were able to influence and improve the quality of life of patients with acute idiopathic facial palsy from the subjective aspect.Conclusion:1. Scalp points combining with body acupuncture treatment can effective treatment of acute stage of idiopathic facial palsy and improve the quality of life of patients.2. The effect of scalp points combining with body acupuncture treatment is superior than the simple acupuncture,which can be used for clinical application.
