The Clinical Research Of Tianma Wendan Decoction On Elderly “H” Essential Hypertension(Syndrome Of Intermingled Phlegm And Blood Stasis)

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tianma Wendan Decoction on elde rly“H”essential hypertension(Syndrome of Intermingled Phlegm and Blood Stasi s),especially for changes in the homocystenine level and the improvement of T CM syndrome.Methods:72 old patients with hypertension who have high homocysteine and belong to the syndrome type of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. They have the same fundamental aspects like age,gender,disease duration and so on. The control group has 34 cases and the treatment group has 32 cases, the control group was given the western medicine administration method(Amlodipine Besylate Tablets 5mg Qd and Folic Acid 5mg Qd).Also the treatment group adopt the same conventional western medicine,and adding Tianma Wendan Decoction,one dose daily, and four weeks for a course of treatment.Before and after the treatment, collecting relevant clinical information and data,finally,the result will be analyzed with statistical method.Results:(1) The serum of homocysteine of two groups all have fallen,thetreatmentresultof the control group is 22.38±3.846, the treatment group is19.19±2.729.However the result of the treatment group is lower than the control group(P<0.01).(2) The total antihypertensive effective rate of the control group is73.53%, the treatment group is 84.38%, P<0.01,the comparison of the two groups has significant difference.(3)About the results of the 24-hour ambulatory bloodpressure, the treatment group is very prominent in 24 h SBP and d SBP compared with the control group(P<0.01), at the same time, the treatment group is also more remarkable in 24 h DBP、d DBP、n SBP(P<0.05).However,the two groups haveno differences in n DBP and PP.(4)The total effective rate of the comparison about the TCM syndrome between the two groups is that the control group is 55.88%,and the treatment group is 81.25%,frome the result,it is easy to see that the treatment group is very prominent compared with the control group(P<0.01).To analyze the specific of the individual symptoms, the treatment group is very prominent in the heaviness in the head,insomnia, tastelessness and the improvement of the appetite(P<0.01).Also the treatment group is better than the control group in chest congestion,expectoration and the palpitation(P<0.05). In the meantime, the two groups have no differences in dizness,headache,stabbing pain,biood stasis in collaterals and the numbness of limbs(P>0.05).(5)The two groups have no adverse effects befofe and after the clinical trial.Conclusion:The Tianma Wendan Decoction is very safe and effective in the clinical treatment for elderly “H” essential hypertension. The decoction has very good curative effects on the homocysteine,hypertension and especially for the TCM syndrome like dizness, headache and the heaviness in the head. At last,from the clinical results, it proves that the decoction is worthy of wide clinical application.
