| Objective:With the progress of science and technology and the development of economy, the improvement requirements of living quality, more sophisticated diet, the physical labor is gradually reduced, overweight people is increasing, there is an upward trend in the incidence of the disease, which cause huge economic and medical pressure to the family and the entire society. At present, in the acute stage of the disease, the Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs(NSAIDS) are used to treat most people, but longterm application of such drugs will induce side effects of gastrointestinal. While, the severe patients are used to be treated by surgery, afraid of the surgery, and it is expensive. So a conservative treatment with small side effect and low prices is pursued by people. In order to provide the basis for guiding clinical, to verify the curative effect in clinical and to provide a simple, facilitate and low price treantment to this syndrome disease. This topic observed the changes of pain, stiffness, the knee joint function and Yang deficiency symptoms caused by the treatment of mild moxibustion. The results of the study will provide a scien-tific basis for the medical service unit to evaluate the patients with knee osteoarthritis correctly and improve the level of residents’health services. Method:In the study,the subjects comes from the unilateral knee osteoarthritis patients, from January in 2015 to June in 2016, meeting the inclusion criteria in outpatient and the inpatient department of the acupuncture and rehabili-tation department in Guangdong Second traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, the study used randomized, single blind, controlled, prospective clinical research plan to observe the changes of pain, stiffness, the knee joint function and Yang deficiency symptoms caused by the treantment of mild moxibustion and normal acupuncture. The patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly allocated into treatment group and control group in medical order. All patients are continuously treated for two weeks,30 minutes every time a day. Before and after the treatment, the researchers respectively evaluated the visual analogue pain scale, the western Ontario, the each index and the total score of McMaster universities osteoarthritis index and the Yang deficiency scale. After the statistical analysis of the age, gender, duration, scores of each scale in the two groups, no difference were found between the two groups. Then, we comprared the improving of pain, stiffness, the knee joint function and Yang deficiency symptoms hetween the groups between and groups within. Finally, we comprared the the curative effect between them. Result:After the treantment for two weeks, the pain scale, the every index and total score of the osteoarthritis index, the Yang deficiency scale all reduced in the two groups, which has very significant differences after the statistical analysis (P＜0.05). It shows mild moxibustion group and routine acupuncture group are effective in alleviating pain, stiffness, knee joint function and Yang deficiency symptoms. And the effect of mild moxibustion treatment group is better than the routine acupuncture control group, which has very signifi-cant differences after the statistical analysis (P＜0.05). Compared the heal, excellent, effective and invalid of the two groups after treatment, there was statistical significance between the two groups (P＜0.05). Conclusion:The two methods of treatment all have significant curative effect and can relieve the patient’s symptoms. Compared the improve of each index, the mild moxibustion group were better than conventional acupuncture group. So the curative effect of the mild moxibustion group is superior to the normal acupuncture group. Anyway, the mild moxibustion is a effective treantment with small side effect and low prices that can alleviate pain, knee joint function and Yang deficiency symptoms to a greater degree, which has significant differences after the statistical analysis and should be widely used in clinic. |
