Objective:To analyze the risk factors of postoperative cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients with thoracoscopic surgery.Methods:45 ASA physical Status Ⅱ or Ⅲ patients (aged 60Y-79Y) undergoing elective thoracoscopic surgery were included in the study. The cognitive function of the patients was assessed at day 1 before and day 5 after operation using Mini-Mental State examination(MMSE). We divided the patients into two groups according to the diagnostic criteria of POCD that MMSE score decrease more than or equal to 2 points. Then we try to find out the risk factors of POCD with logistic stepwise regression analysis.Result:POCD was present in 12 of the 45 patients at 5 days after surgery. Operation time≥180min is the risk factor for incidence of POCD in elderly patients (OR 5.708, 95% CI 1.221-26.688, P=0.027).Conclusion:Operation time≥180min is the risk factor for incidence of POCD in elderly patients.
