The Traditional Chinese Medicine Ancient Literature Research On Crohn’s Disease

ObjectiveIn order to find out the biggest correlation with Crohn’s disease in medical terms in TCM and lay the foundation for clinical diagnosis and treatment of Crohn’s disease, this paper intends to use modern statistical methods of frequency statistics and clustering analysis analyzing the symptoms of the diseases on the basis of collating ancient literature of "intestinal carbuncle" "anal carbuncle" "anal fistula" "hemorrhoid fistula" "gravity abscess"MethodsFirstly, place the key words "intestinal carbuncle" "anal carbuncle" "anal fistula" "hemorrhoid fistula" and "gravity abscess" in the Encyclopaedia of TCM and analyze the ancient literature collected. After excluding irrelevant literature, summarize the etiology and pathogenesis and symptoms of "intestinal carbuncle" "anal carbuncle" "anal fistula" "hemorrhoid fistula" and "gravity abscess" for further comparison with the clinical features of Crohn’s disease. Inputing the same clinical symptoms of "intestinal carbuncle" "anal carbuncle" "anal fistula" "hemorrhoid fistula" and "gravity abscess" with Crohn’s disease and using SPSS17.0 statistical software for frequency statistics and clustering analysis, then draw the conclution.Results1. Ancient physicians think "intestinal carbuncle" disease is oweing to feel external evils, improper diet, emotional maladjustment, pathogenesis of Qi stagnation and blood stasis. The same sypmtoms between "intestinal carbuncle" and Crohn’s disease are abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal mass, fistula, hematochezia, fever, perianal diseases, nutrition disorders, joint lesions, among which abdominal pain is the most common symptoms. By cluster analysis, draw the conclusion that the core symptom groups of "intestinal carbuncle" are perianal diseases and nutrition disorders,abdominal mass, fever and fistula. These two core symptom groups in accordance with the understanding of modern medicine on Crohn’s disease.2. Ancient physicians think " anal carbuncle" disease is oweing to excessive drinking and indulgence, enduring Bai jing, emotional maladjustment, pathogenesis of three yin deficiency and damp-heat flowing down to anal. The same sypmtoms between " anal carbuncle " and Crohn’s disease are perianal diseases, fever and nutrition disorders.By cluster analysis, draw the conclusion that the core symptom groups of " anal carbuncle " is fever and nutrition disorders.3.Ancient physicians think " hemorrhoid fistula " disease is oweing to feel external evils, improper diet, pathogenesis of deficiency of vital-qi, cold-dampness causing trouble. By cluster analysis, draw the conclusion that the core symptom groups of " gravity abscess " is fever and nutrition disorders.Conclusion"Intestinal carbuncle" has biggest correlation with Crohn’s disease and the future in clinic can be from the perspective of "intestinal carbuncle" to the treatment of Crohn’s disease. For the perianal diseases, joint lesions and skin lesions of Crohn’s disease,we can refer to the ancient literatures of " hemorrhoid fistula " and " gravity abscess " for treatment.
