ObjectiveThis research compares the difference from conventional acupuncture combined with the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality acupuncture therapy for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy. And we investigate that by statistical science. I hope the investigating can help us to explore its mechanism of treating Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy by the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality acupuncture therapy.MethodsThere were 60 cases which met inclusion criterias elected from the acupuncture and moxibustion department of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Guangzhou. They were divided evenly into two groups. The conventional acupuncture with the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality acupuncture therapy were used on the treatment group. The matched group just used the conventional acupuncture. The matched group used the Cervical Jiaji in the conventional acupuncture. The therapy for the treatment group was the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality acupuncture therapy besides the treatment as the matched group. The patients had the treatmeat every day except two-day weekend. The treatment course was two weeks. The curative standard of cervical spondylosis in 《the diagnosis and outcome of Chinese diseases (standard)》, visual analogue scale and 20 points scale and Self-Rating anxiety scale were used as standards to evaluate the efficacy. The data of this study would be analyzed by the software named SPSS Statistics 20.ResultsThere were no obvious difference in the age, sexuality and course of disease of that two groups. So the two groups can be compared with each other. The two therapies which can relieve the pain of patients had great effect, but the clinical effects of the treatment group was better than the matched group, especially on relieving the pain and anxiety.ConclusionThe two therapies in this clinical study had great effect on relieving the suffering of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy. What’s the most important was that the conventional acupuncture combined with the Governor Vessel and regulating mentality acupuncture therapy had better effect.
