Jilin Province Taxi And Bus Drivrrs’ Health Literacy Current Situation And The Evaluation Of The Intervention Effect

Objective:To understand health literacy, the present situation of the taxi and bus drivers in Jilin Province; analyse the intervention effect and explore the influencial factors of the taxi and bus drivers’health literacy.Methods:Use questionnaire survey method for data collecting and convenience sampling method for sampling. From the center of disease control and prevention in 9 regions such as Changchun City, Jilin City, Siping City, Tonghua City, Baishan city, Songyuan City and Promoting the Changbai Mountain Administrative Committee, choose 64 participants who are accordance with the inclusive criteria as objects.576 questionnaires are used in present situation investigation, recycle all, eliminate 18 invalid questionnaires, and 558 valid questionnaires are included. The research tools include general situation questionnaire, health literacy scale and self-efficacy scale. Use percentage, mean and standard deviation to describe social demographic characteristics-. health literacy and self-efficacy; use independent sample t-test, Chi-square test, single factor variance analysis to compare the differences in social demographic characteristics, and use multiple regression analysis for those statistically significant factors and health literacy. Use percentage, mean and standard deviation to describe health literacy and self-efficacy and use paired samples test for compare and analysis differences in health literacy and self-efficacy before and after the intervention.Results:1、The proportion in taxi and bus drivers who possess health literacy in Jilin province is 5.2%, among that, basic knowledge and concept is 2.3%, healthy lifestyle and basic skill is 19.4% and 91.5% , the awareness rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Haim Eric and trauma treatment about first aid is low, rate of relevant skills such as calling for emergency is high.2、Different social demographic characteristics of the object in this study have different trends for health literacy, health literacy in age ranging from 30 to 39 is the highest, then present the negative growth trend; the bus drivers’health literacy level is higher than the taxi drivers; work shifts can affect the health literacy possessing rate, the unfixed are the highest while night shifts are the lowest; drivers having first aid experience and training experience behave better in safety quality; high self-efficacy group’s health literacy is higher than the low group. These 6 factors:The age, the types of work,the types of vehicles, first aid experience, self-efficacy and the training experience can all enter the regression equation, and have certain predictive power for the health literacy level.3、Through the intervention of scientific teaching method and practical education, the drivers’health literacy level can be effectively improved, it is much easier to master first aid knowledge and skills like cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Haim Eric and trauma treatment, etc.Conclusions:1、he level of taxi and bus drivers’health literacy is low in Jilin province; basic skills about calling for help in emergency is better, but it is quite poor at safety first aid knowledge and skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Haim Eric and trauma treatment.2、As a traffic line personnel, drivers need to improve their health literacy level urgently, not only to strengthen simple skills like emergency calls but also focus on learning and reinforcing the professional safety first aid knowledge and first aid skills, such as dealing with injuries, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), drug abuse, mental adjustment, foreign body airway obstruction, and prevention of food poisoning and other related project training, encourage them to build up the relevant confidence in safety emergency behavior and first aid.3、The construction of pre-hospital emergency training system should be accelerated by nation, unified teaching materials, methods, establish wholesome system of first aid training, and provide legal protection for the rescuers, give corresponding rewards and protection, thus to greatly improve the enthusiasm of drivers who help others, which is of great significance in improving the efficiency of first aid and to reduce the pre-hospital mortality.
