ObjectiveTo observe clinical therapeutic effects of acupotomy and acupuncture on Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy(CSR), and discussed its mechanism, to explore clinical curative effects of acupotomy is a kind of treatment, easy to operation and provide clinical foundation.MethodsRandomized controlled trial was adopted.60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group treated with acupotomy at the pathological changes of cervical vertebra, interspinal ligaments of the affected vertebral body and bilateral posterior joint capsules, according to the clinical symptoms and imaging of cervical vertebra and acupuncture control group treated with acupuncture at cervical Jiaji point (EX-B2), Tianzhu (BL10), Houxi (SI3), Shenmai (BL62),Ashi points, Geshu (BL17), Hegu (LI4), Ganshu (BL18) (both bilateral points). The therapeutic effects, based on Numerical Rating Scales and Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire were observed at the end of the therapeutic course in 4 weeks.ResultsComparison of the clinical efficacy:the resurred and effective rate of the group of acupotomy was 93.33%, the effective and recurred rate of the group of acupuncture was 80.00%. The comparison of the clinical effcacy was proved valid by comparison. (P<0.01), which proofs the the clinical efficacy of acupotomy group was better than the acupuncture group. The comparison of baseline for the two groups were consistent, which proved valid by comparison(P>0.05). And two groups of patients before treatment Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy, Numerical Rating Scales and Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire comparison respectively after statistics analysis, there were no statistical differences (P>0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, comparison of Numerical Rating Scales(NRS): own comparison before and after treatment in both groups, the treatment group had a significant difference (P<0.01). And the comparison of the difference between two groups were proved valid by comparison(P>0.05). This suggests prompt treatment the two groups in reducing numerical rating scales has no obvious difference.Comparison of Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ):own comparison before and after treatment in both groups, the treatment group had a significant difference (P<0.01). And the comparison of the difference between two groups were proved valid by comparison(P<0.001). This suggests the group of acupotomy was better than the group of acupuncture on reducing Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire.ConclusionCompared to the acupuncture, acupotomy in the therapeutic effects on cervical spodylotic radiculopathy is superior to acupuncture treatment. Acupotomy have a great treatment to prevent and treat cervical spodylotic radiculopathy. |
