The Evaluation Research Of Added Yupingfeng Powder For Maintain Remission Of Ulcerative Colitis

Objective By A randomized, controlled clinical design method,to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Added Yupingfeng Powder combined with Western medicine for remission stage of ulcerative colitis.Method The research based on 60cases of patients come from Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. All diagnosed with ulcerative colitis,And in accordance with traditional Chinese medicine lung spleen deficiency syndrome.They were divided into treatment group 30 cases,30 cases of the control group. Treatment group was treated with Added Yupingfeng Powder combined with Western medicine; the control group was only treated with Western medicine.The course of treatment is 48weeks. To observe the recurrence rate, maintain remission, effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, Colonoscopy score, Mayo score and so on.Results In the aspect of recurrence rate,4 cases of patients was relapsed in the treatment group of 30 cases. The recurrence rate was 13.33%.13 cases of patients was relapsed in the control group of 30 cases. The recurrence rate was 43.33%. The two groups were compared by chi square test (P<0.05), the treatment group was better than the control group. In the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome curative effect, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.67%, and the control group was 56.67%. The two groups were compared by chi square test (P<0.05), the treatment group was better than the control group. In the colonoscopy integral,Mucosal histology integral and Mayo score, the treatment group was better than the control group. In terms of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups before and after treatment to improve the fear of wind sweating, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, lassitude, shortness of breath and lazy to talk (P<0.05). It’s indicated that the treatment group and the control group were both effective in relieving the clinical symptoms of the patients. Comparison between groups, there were no significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of appetite, shortness of breath symptoms (P>0.05). But In terms of diarrhea, pus and blood stool, abdominal pain, fear of wind sweating, abdominal distension, tenesmus, lassitude symptoms, there were differences between the two groups(P< 0.05). It’s indicated that the treatment group was better than the control group in the improvement of abdominal pain, fear of wind sweating, abdominal distension, tenesmus, lassitude symptoms. In the maintenance of normal stool frequency, reducing the occurrence of pus and blood has better effect than the control group. The treatment group was better than the control group in Improving the quality of life (P<0.05). There was no difference between the two groups in safety index before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion There was a litter clinical efficacy and safety of Added Yupingfeng Powder combined with Western medicine treatment for remission stage of ulcerative colitis, than treated only by Western medicine. It is worthy of further clinical research and application.
