Object:With establishing a database of specifications of XuJingfan treating reflux esophagitis, and with the help of data mining, the research is meant to digging deep into the thinking of syndrome differentiation and medication characteristics of XuJingfan. By this way, the experience of XuJingfan treating reflux esophagitis can be promoted. As a result, the clinical efficacy can be improved and the patients can be better treated.Method:To establish the Excel database with the cases about reflux esophagitis patients which are collected by mentor LuWeimin during his research project. After standardizing and clearing up the medical record from the data, data analysis and processing can be accomplished by the data processing platform called Medcase V3.2. The frequency analysis and association rules analysis is focused on coating on the tongue, pulse condition, pathogenesis and the prescription. According to the analysis results, the experiences of XuJingfan treating reflux esophagitis can be further summarized.Findings:1.The research includes of 133 reflux esophagitis patients, totally 250 cases, in which males make up 103 cases and females make up 147 cases. The age distribution is mainly between 40 to 59.2.According to the frequency analysis, clinical symptoms of high frequency include pantothenic acid, belching, fullness or distension or pain in the stomach, retrosternalburning sensation and pain, heart burnt and so on. The coating on the tongue of high frequency includes red tongue and thin white fur. The pulse conditions of high frequency include includes thready pulse and stringy pulse. The pathogenesis of high frequency includes stomach qi rising, qi stagnation in the stomach, liver-stomach heat, phlegm and qi intermingling, liver-stomach disharmony and qi stagnation and blood stasis. The therapeutic principles and methods of high frequency include regulating qi-flowing for harmonizing stomach, removing heat from the liver, dissipating phlegm and relieving sore throat and so on. The traditional Chinese medicine of high frequency includes qi regulating drugs such as ChenPi, FoShou, Zhike, SuGeng, LvMeihua and so on.3. According to the association rules analysis, stomach qi rising is the main pathogenesis and is often arised from liver Qi stagnation, deficiency of spleen and stomach and phlegm-damp retention. Harmonizing the stomach qi is the main therapeutic principle and method and is often used with removing heat from the liver, lowering the adverse flow of qi and regulating qi-flowing and so on to treat this disease.Conclusion:The conclusion can be drawn that the pathogenesis of reflux esophagitis based on XuJingfan’s experience can be concluded to six aspects, including stomach qi rising, qi stagnation in the stomach, liver-stomach heat, phlegm and qi intermingling, liver-stomach disharmony and qi stagnation and blood stasis. As to therapeutic principles and methods, around the pathogenesis can be summarized into six aspects, including regulating qi-flowing for harmonizing stomach, removing heat from the liver, dissipating phlegm and relieving sore throat, invigorating spleen and replenishing qi, enriching stomach-yin and promoting circulation and removing stasis. When using the traditional Chinese medicine, XuJingfan emphasized the methods of combining moisture with dryness and combining rising qi with depressing qi. At the same time, protecting the mucous membrane is emphasized.
