Research On Phonetics Of Yan’an Dialect

Yan’an is located in the northern part of Shaanxi, affiliated to Shaanxi province, it ispolitical, economic, cultural and transportation center of Yan’an area. Its dialect belongsto Zhiyan-dialect.With its own distinct characteristics,the dialect of Yan’an is the typicalrepresentive of Northern Shaanxi language.This paper, on the basis of field investigation,using the methods of description, chart, comparison, comprehensive descript Yan’andialect phonetic system and its characteristics, and it also focuses on the phenomenon ofthe entering tones which is treated in the standalone chapter.The context of paper includes six parts.The first part is an introduction,which brieflydepicts the history of Yan’an,including geography, historical development and populationorigin,roughly sketches out the situation of researches on the dialect of Yan’an,points outthe researching contents,significance, methods and pronunciation partners.The secondpart sums up the phonology of Yan’an dialect,including the rhyme,the monosyllabiccharacters and words pronunciation.The third part is sandhi of Yan’an dialect,discussingthe disyllable sandhi.The fourth part is the homophones of Yan’an dialect.The fifth partresearches the pronunciations of Yan’an dialect as the viewpoint of synchronic and adiachronic,and then,summarizes the phonetic charactertistics of Yan’an dialect.The sixthpart is the development of entering tones in Yan’an dialect, mainly including enteringtones table about how to read today,the analysis of distribution and evolution laws.
