As a kind of adverb which used to modify scope,the scope adverbs play a differentrole with other kinds.Although the number of scope adverbs is relatively smaller,theyappeared complex because of the inconformity between grammar and semantic. Linguisticsare not satisfied with the effect which the recent research guiding teaching. In this paper,by combiningthe errors of scope adverbs in foreign students’applications,we explainthemechanism of causing errors and discuss the teaching strategiesto avoid these errors basedon the linguistics,applied linguistics theoryand the theory of biased errors.Part One carries on the review of the research to Comprehensive and systematicunderstanding scope adverbs,and also introduce research methods.Part Two analyzes foreign students using modern scope adverbs errors in two wayswhich is type and reason.Part Three Ontology study of oreign students using modern scope adverbs errors fromthree aspects,grammar,semantic and pragmatic.The part of grammar analyzes generalsyntactic features and modify quantity structure.This part based on the theory of semanticdirection, semantic item and semantic link, analyzes semantic orientation patterns of scopeadverbs.The part of pragmatic involves scope adverbs together and the conjunctivefunction.Part Four design teaching methods according to foreign students.My paper designed graphology to synonyms analysis, Chinese and foreign comparison anderror analysis on the basis of inspiration, individualized and step by step teachingprinciples.Part Five as the last part, is the summary of this paper, as well as the limitation of theresearch.
