A Study On The Phonetic Characteristics Of Dacheng Dialect

This paper is on the foundation of field work, which is recorded an summoned the feature of pronunciation of Dacheng dialect. The thesis, which is based on the synchronic description and historical comparative method, trying to illustrate the evolution of Dacheng dialect and revealing the historical administrative levels.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first chapter mainly demonstrates the geographical position, the historical evolution and humanity atmosphere of Dacheng. What’s more, the chapter explains the affiliation of Dacheng dialect and the resource of material and research method in this dissertation. The second chapter mainly describes the phonetic system of Dacheng dialect, summoning up the phonetic character of Dacheng dialect, especially for the system of r-ending retroflexion. Chapter three mainly analysises the evolution of Zhi system words in Dacheng dialect, being compared representative situation in Dacheng.Chapter four describes the entering tone words, including the history evolution of entering tone and the literary and colloquial readings of entering tone rhyme in Dacheng dialect. With the help of history documentary literature and AHP, the chapter analyzes the historical gradation of the entering tone words in Dacheng dialect.Chapter five discusses some others special phonetic phenomena in Dacheng dialect.
