China has become an international tourism country. a major tourismprovince of China, enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. Tourism Chinese hasplayed a more and more significant role in the course of teaching Chinese as a secondLanguage. However, the teaching of culture points has not received enough attentionin Tourism Chinese. This essay adopts the task-based language teaching approach inthe foreign language teaching field and focuses on how to teach European-AmericanChinese learners culture points in Sichuan Province. The essay means to take touristculture attractions in Sichuan as examples and do some researches on how to teachforeign students culture points in Tourism Chinese. In doing so, the author expects todraw those teachers’ attention to this field who teach foreign students through thisessay.This essay consists of four parts. The first part generally introduces theinspiration and creative significance of this dissertation and then gives a brief reviewof current situation of Tourism Chinese. In the second chapter,the author analyzes thefeasibility of task-based language teaching approach’s application to the teaching ofTourism Chinese. Then,the author elaborates the importance of culture point’steaching and make a survey on culture points of Tourism Chinese in Sichuan. Thethird part gives an example to show the teaching design: the tea house culture inChengDu. The last part is the conclusion. It generalizes the experience of carrying outthe teaching design, brings forward some relevant teaching advices and offers someproposals to teachers in this field.
