A Study On Matching Types Of "什么" And"Vp"

The usages of interrogative pronoun“什么”has been changed from interrogative to non-interrogative through a long evolutional development. However, we don’t analyze it when it is used as interrogative pronoun and non-interrogative pronoun. We’11research“什么”in an other direction. The direction is the matching types of“什么”,it refers to the relationship between“什么”and the "vp"(verb phrase) at a whole sentence or at a clause. There are four types:“什么vp,什么vp"“什么vp, vp什么”"vp什么,vp什么”“vp什么,什么vp". We’ ll take the first type "vp什么,vp什么”as the main research object, then we’ ll have a further discussion and research for the four types. The paper is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the overview of the worthies research on related topics, discuss the purpose and research meaning of the thesis, the content and object of the study, research methods and corpus source, and the direction of our research in order to achieve the research objectives, this part is focused on the overview of previous related research.On chapter two, we’ll research the semantics of "vp什么,vp什么”at the full range of inspection based on the predecessors’research, and we’11investigate the relationship and characteristics of the "vp1" and "vp2", and the relationship between’‘什么1”and“什么2”.Then we’11make a simple description from the angle of cognitive linguistics, describing the semantic feature of "vp什么,vp什么”The third chapter, research the grammatical meaning of "vp什么,vp什么”,Explore its structural formula unit that has the structural formula characteristics. Constructional meaning and lexical meaning of repression and suppression of anti-relationship, we focus on the repression of the constructions on word meaning and vocabulary.Chapter four, mainly explain the use of metaphorical constructions to further analyze the "vp什么,vp什么”’format with the rhetoric of constructional meaning.
