Comparative Study And Enlightenment About Movie Industry’s International Competitiveness Between China And America

In the18th session of the National People’s Congress,the CPC central committee declared that it is very necessary to develop the cultural industry in the next decade.As one of the core industries in the cultural industry,the movie industry is undertaking an vital mission,which is to promote economy and enhance cultural soft power.However,compared with other countries,International competitiveness of our movie industry is weak.Movie industrialization is still in its infancy.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and research the international competitiveness of China’s film industry from the perspective of theory.The United States is the the first power in movie industry in the world, its industry has a long history, a complete industry chain, mature market mechanism, and strong international competitiveness. Through comparing with the American film industry, we are better able to find the deficiency existing in the current film industry, better based on the experience of the American film industry, and promote the ascension of China’s film industry in the international competitiveness.In this case, the paper is on the basis of the latest data released by the relevant institutions.Through comparison analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis method,this paper analyze and research the current situation of industry of our country, the constitution of the international competitiveness, the industrial prospects and the related countermeasures for further development.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is mainly a review of the previous research results, the key and characteristics of this paper studies.The second part is about detailed development of the film industry in China and the United States and analyses the present situation of both countries.In the third section,on the basis of tracing theories of international competitiveness,this paper make a comparative analysis of international competitiveness theory elements that composed the international competitiveness of the movie industry in China and the United States.The fourth part is the empirical part,main duty is to use the data to validate the relevant conclusions in the third chapter. The fifth part is to propose some measures enhance China’s movie industry international competitiveness,combined with the reality of our country and the research in this paper.
