Research On Huang Shu And His Essays

Huang shu is the father of Huang Tingjian, who is the famous essayist in SongDynasty. The essays of Huang Shu are also excellent."Si Ku Quan Shu "review hisessays are concise and powerful，which are analyzed influenced by Han Yu. His worksof Fatan Ji have two volumes, include68pieces of essays. The style of his essays isdiversity and the essays have his own characteristics. The ancient scholars have veryfew comments words about his essays, and the primary scholars mostly focus on hispoem, but pays little attention to his essays. Since Mr. Zhan in the80s made a basiccollating work, no successor to continue this job. Both in terms of philologicalresearch and literary research, his essays have a big research space.This article is divided into two parts. One part is philological research; this part isorganized into three units. The first unit states the historical version evolution of hisworks. The second unit performed systematic collating task of Huang Shu’s essays.The last unit does some textual research. The second part is literary review; this part isorganized into two units. One is a brief summary the Huang Shu essays’ thoughts, theother one is analysis the overview,the basic composition and artistic techniques of hisessays.Throughout the research, Fatan collection will get better, and we can deepen theunderstanding of Huang Shu and his essays.
