In this era of rapid development, faced with the competition in the school,diversity value orientations, complex relationships and a tough job market, the collegestudents are under the great psychological pressure and they gradually appear all sortsof psychological problems, mental problems and even extreme events such as suicide.We think this is the result of the absence of individual sense of meaning of life. In thispaper, based on the concept of ego state, coping ways, sense of meaning of life, weexplore the relationships between these factors.In order to let college studentsunderstand their own personality characteristics and their life situation, and clarify thecoping ways when they face with pressures. This could help college students knowthemselves clearly, then they could look for their meaning of life and experience theirown meaning of life. At the same time, this could help colleges and universitiestargeted work in the psychological education, whether in the life education classroom,or in the psychological counseling, we can help students accept themselves, and letstudents more rational when facing pressures and more positive to life and study,more bravely look for their meaning of life, so the college students could lay thefoundation for future in the society. This is of great significance for college students’growth.On the basis of documents analysis, this paper combines with the psychologicalcharacteristics of college students and a variety performance. Through quantitativeanalysis method we explore the college students’ relationships among sense ofmeaning of life, ego state and coping ways. In this paper, research objects are350college students who comes from seven colleges and universities, we usequestionnaire survey method for quantitative analysis.The conclusion of this study has the following four parts:Firstly, the college students’ sense of meaning of life in general is in mediumlevel, they actively to look for meaning of life, but their experience of meaning of lifeis not high. There are significant differences on variables of family economic statusand awards between meaning of life and MLQ-S.Secondly, the college students’ ego state is in medium level. The score of fivekinds of ego state sequencing: nurturing parent, adult, free child, critical parent,adapted child, and the distribution is complete type. There are significantdifferences on variables of gender, whether is only child, family economic status, awards and home place between the ego state.Thirdly, the order of coping ways of college students is solve problems, fantasy,seek help, shrink, rationalize, self-accusation. When the college students face withpressures, they usually use the mature coping ways. There are significant differenceson variables of gender, awards and grade between the coping ways.Fourthly, the sense of meaning of life, ego state and coping ways existedsignificant correlation. The coping ways play partial mediator role in the relationshipof sense of meaning of life and ego state.
