| Objective Sleep is related to human health, poor quality of sleep often leads to many adverse consequences.With the pace of life in modern social becoming fast,sleep problems have become one of the serious problems that affect the public health.It will not only bring discomfort to the body,but also have influence on a person’s mental state, it may lead to the occurrence of psychological disorders.With the academic burden and pressure of employment increasing,college students are also suffering the sleep problems, therefore understanding the psychological factors which are related to the sleep quality and its mechanism will help college students improve sleep quality, enhance the level of their mental health.In this paper, sleep quality will be explored from the aspects of cognition, personality, behavior. Exploring the impact of the sleep beliefs and attitudes, sleep efforts, perfectionism on sleep quality can provid theoretical support for improving college students’ sleep quality.Methods 550 college students from four universities in Zhengzhou are recruited to complete the questionnaires.The questionnaires contains Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale(PSQI), Chinese Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(CFMPS), Dysfunction Beliefs and Attitude about Sleep(DBAS) and Glasgow Sleep Effort Scale(GSES). USE SPSS19.0 to deal with the data of these questionnaire.Result(1) The correlation coefficient of other items and total score in the questionnaire of Glasgow sleep efforts ranged from 0.33 to 0.812.The Cronbach a coefficient was 0.775 in problem group, and it was 0.729 in the normal group.This shows that GSES has adequate reliability.GSES has medium relevant with the DBAS,PSQI. It shows that the validity of the GSES was sufficient.(2) There is no significant differences between male and female in adaptive perfectionism.Students who study in different department have no differences in sleep beliefs and attitudes, and rural and urban college students showed no significant difference in the sleep beliefs and attitudes.(3) There is no significant differences between male and female students in adaptive perfectionism.Students who study different profession do not exist significant differences in perfectionism.The rural and urban college students exist significant differences in perfectionism.(4)On the degree of sleep effort, Students who is different gender, studying indifferent professional, growing up in different environment did not show significant differences.(5) In this study, 22.5% of college students ’ PSQI was greater or equal to 7, this shows that part of college students are suffering sleep quality problems.Students who is different gender, studying in different professional didn’t exist significant difference in sleep quality. The score of sleep quality of rural and urban college students showed significant differences, rural college students showed more sleep disorders.(6) Each two of those factor which are represent sleep beliefs and attitudes, the degree of sleep efforts,perfectionism and the sleep quality showed significant correlation(p < 0.001).(7) The factor of sleep beliefs and attitude of each factor can significantly predict the sleep quality;Perfectionism can significantly predict the sleep quality of college students, sleep beliefs and attitudes plays a partial intermediary role between the perfectionism and sleep quality;Sleep beliefs and attitudes, the degree of sleep efforts and perfectionism can significantly predict sleep quality.Conclusion The questionnaire of Glasgow sleep effort degree has enough reliability and validity;There exist no significant gender difference in sleep quality,but there exists differences between urban and rural colleges students; Relationship among sleep beliefs and attitudes, sleep efforts, perfectionism and sleep quality is significantly relevant.Perfectionism has direct influence on sleep quality,and can also impact sleep quality through sleep beliefs and attitude.By adjusting sleep beliefs and attitudeã€sleep effortã€perfectionism, Sleep quality could be improved significantly. |
