Witchcraft, the mysterious culture system has been circulating for thousands of years. In the early 18 th century, academic circles began to have research on witchcraft. But traditionally, most scholars are concerned with wizard, and focus on their ceremonies. To the contrary, as a special group which composed of female, witch tend to get overlooked.In the Yao’s society, Xian niang is not only one of the undertakers of religious beliefs, but also is one of the presides of religious rites. As god’s intermediary, their social status are much worse than before. Because of male clergy existence, more and more people think that female are not suitable for clergy. Their living conditions and the ability to perform ceremonies are disregarded constantly, even rejected.Based on the situation, this paper attempts to focus on witches’ ability of the ceremony and living conditions, and analysis the social role of Iu Mien’s Xian Niang in Guang Xi Gong Cheng.So that to make them out of the border area, and walk into our view about religious study. At the same time, it is also helpful for us to understand the relationship between Yao’s female and religion, and then to build up a picture of Yao’s folk religion.
