Dark Dots In Life-the Awareness Of Loneliness In Bi Feiyu’s Fictions

The awareness of loneliness is the product of human introspection about theirstate of life and the value of life，and it is also a critical and profound theme in thehistory of the modern and contemporary literature. It strongly demonstratesintellectuals’ depth of thought and realistic solicitude. Bi Feiyu is an established writerof contemporary Chinese literature. In his literature career of more than two decades,he creates a large number of characters inflicted with a strong awareness of loneliness.Analyzing the loneliness and destiny of these characters, we can clearly find out BiFeiyu’s introspection and criticism of the social value, the development of history,interpersonal relationships, and many other aspects，and further we will be able togain a deeper understanding of Bi Feiyu’s fictional value and notion of creation.The first chapter of this thesis will explain the theoretical significance of theawareness of loneliness, and combing its several significant characterizations in thedevelopment of the modern and contemporary literature. The second chapter willanalyze the source of Bi feiyu’s awareness of loneliness from his childhoodexperience, personality, and the influence from others. The third chapter will providean insightful analysis of this awareness based on a thorough investigation of BiFeiyu’s novels texts through categorization, as well as of a puralistic connotation in ahollistic systematic way. Finally, an analysis will be provided in the fourth chapter ofhow Bi feiyu powerfuly emphasizes the awareness of loneliness technically byexamining his methodological expressions.
