Recently, with the enhancement of China’s economic strength and the promotionof our country’s international status, more and more foreigners have been keenlyinterested in learning Chinese. Since the number of learners increases constantly, thetraditional Chinese teaching methods cannot meet the learners’ demands anymore,however, the emergence and development of the Chinese teaching TV programs haveprovided a new way of learning Chinese for learners from different countries, whichnot only have supplied a real language scene for learners, but also have broken thelimitation of the time and economic conditions, so learning Chinese have becomeeasier and easier. Thus, Chinese teaching TV programs have attracted numerouslearners.Combining theories with research findings of TV programs of teaching Chineseas a foreign Language, this article analyzed these TV programs’ present development,and summarized the advantages of using the TV program, then made a systemicanalysis of the teaching in Happy Chinese Season three. It was mainly analyzed inthree parts: First, From the perspective of cultural elements, cultural characteristics,topics, and language characteristics, the paper analyzed the program’s teachingcontents; second, the article analyzed the teaching contents from the points of thetopic introduction, the practice of new words, the popularization of knowledge, andthe quiz in class; third, this paper analyzed and appraised the character selection, thescene set, the background music, and the subtitles’ design. Finally, the paper came upwith some shortcomings that influenced the broadcast like the difficult teachingcontents, the long period of broadcasting time, also the lack of interacting with theaudience and so on. According to these questions, the author suggested to lower theprogram content’s difficulty degree, to cut the broadcasting time, and to publishtextbooks. The author expected to promote a positive development of Chineseteaching TV programs, by making some effective suggestions on the TV programs ofteaching Chinese as a foreign language.
