The Text Research Of Turn-Class Connective "Na Zhidao"

"Na Zhidao" has three kinds of semantic connotation in the modern Chinese. The first meaning is "Who knows" used to express inquiry; the second meaning is "have no idea" used to express negation; the third meaning is "unexpectedly" used to express transition. Whether in oral or in written language, these usages are common. What is more, through the statistical of a large number of corpuses, we find that the frequency of use of "Na Zhidao" is the most highest in the chapter when it’s used as the textual conjunction of turn. However, so far, the specific research on "Na Zhidao" is fewer when it’s used as the textual conjunction of turn. It provides a very large research space for us. Therefore, this article gives a detailed research on the using status of "Na Zhidao" when it’s used as turn-class connective in the chapter from the perspective of text.The full article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. It mainly introduces the origin of research, research content and significance, the results of other researchers, the theories, the methods and the source corpus.The second chapter introduces the three kinds of semantic type about "Na Zhidao", at the same time, also focuses on the research about grammatical meaning, the logical meaning and grammatical features of "Na Zhidao3". Then, we analyze its process of lexicalization and grammaticalization from the perspective of diachronic.The third chapter investigates the function of textual cohesion of "Na Zhidao3". It can connect clause to be complex sentence, connect sentence to be sentence group and connect paragraph to be chapter. It has six ways to realize cohesion function in the chapter. They are single use, collocation and use with mood structures, denotation means, omit means and other words. The emotional colors about the consequent connected by "Na Zhidao3" has three kinds, which are positive, negative and neutral.The fourth chapter concludes four kinds of semantic items expressed by the consequent connected by "Na Zhidao3". They are the unexpected events or results, accidents or incidents, events or results in contrast to the objective logical inference and the other side of comparative characteristics. Under each type, it contains two cases of complete style and cut style. Based on corpora, this paper has made a detailed analysis. We also find that the subjective emotion and attitude, such as surprise, accident and doubt, usually points to the main body of discourse narration, the speaker or the speaker and the listener.The fifth chapter investigates the pragmatic functions of "Na Zhidao3" from the perspective of pragmatics. It mainly includes subjective expression function, marked focus, indicate the preset, signal function and continue or change the subject, and other functions.Chapter six is the conclusion part. It summarizes the main points of this article and points out the innovation and shortage of the research.
