Strategies For Interpretation Fluency In C-E Consecutive Interpretation

Fluency is one of the evaluation of interpreting quality standard. But compared to the accuracy of interpreting, fluency does not get much attention and interest of most scholars. In this paper, the author will take the fluency of interpreting as the point, combined with other scholars’ research on the categries and causes of influencies, to explore the strategies to improve fluency in interpreting.This paper attempts to answer two questions:(1) What is the value and significance of interpreting fluency? (2) How to improve interpreting fluency?The study found that although the related research on interpreting fluency is not so much, but minor scholars are still in the course of continued focus on it, which proves that the fluency of interpreting research is of certain value and significance. However, Most of these studies are emphatically in categories and causes of interpreting influencies. Therefore, based on the scholar’s previous study and author’s own interpretation practice, this paper tries to explore strategies to improve fluency in C-E consecutive interpreting.
