The Study Of The Hakka Dialect In Fenghuang Town, Laibin Capital

Laibin, adjacent to Liuzhou, Guilin, Hechi, Wuzhou, Guigang and Nanning, located in the central of Guangxi. The city is a multi-ethnic harmony popular city as the main body of the Zhuang nationality. As Zhuang, Yao and other ethnic minorities accounted for 75% of total population, there are fewer Han nationality living in Fenghuang. The special geographical location and mingled multiple languages, which makes Laibin dialect study more complicated and significant.In order to provide informative first-hand regional dialects material and explore the evolution of Laibin-Hakka-dialect as well as the further study of Guangxi-Hakka-Dialect, even the spread of whole Hakka-Dialect, dissemination and mutation, this paper has given a deeply study of Fenghuang-Hakka-Dialect in Laibin Capital. After a comprehensive and detailed investigation, the author would describe and analyze the characteristics of Fenghuang Hakka-Dialects’phonetics, vocabulary, grammar system. Then compared the phonetics, vocabulary of the Laibin-Hakka-Dialect with its race source, Binyang-Hakka-Dialect. At last, trying to reveal the characteristics of the Fenghuang-Hakka-dialect, evolution rules and the reason of the evolution through the comprehensively study.The passage mainly has four parts:Chapter 1:Introduction. This chapter firstly told us the significance of investigation of Fenghuang Hakka, reviewed the current achievements which had been made by predecessors. Afterwards, introduced Fenghuang’s geography, history and the distribution of the population.Chapter 2:It described the phonology and its features of the Hakka Dialect in Fenghuang town, involved its consonants, vowels and tones. Comparing the pronunciations of Fenghuang-Hakka-Dialect with Chinese Medieval phonetic system to demonstrate its phonetic characteristics. At last, making a comparision of Binyang-Hakka-Dialect, the cognate source of Fenghuang, to explore evolution rules of Fenghuang-Hakka-Dialect.Chapter 3:In this chapter, it mainly gives a description and analysis of the characteristics of vocabulary of Fenghuang-Hakka-dialect. Together with a vocabulary comparison of Binyang-Hakka-Dialect, revealing their differences and analyzing the reasons for evolution in vocabulary.Chapter4:It studied the characteristics of the grammar.Chapter5:Conclusion. It gave a briefly summary of the hakka of Fenghuang town, including phonetics, vocabulary and grammar.
