The adverb "geng" plays an important role in modern Chinese, which is also a key point in teaching Chinese as second language. In the study of grammar academic circle, the comparison between "geng" and other adverb words, and the sentence function of “geng+adj." and "geng+v" have always been the focus. Previous studies mainly applied ontology research. While based on that, this paper emphasizes the order of sentence, semantic characteristics and the text to classify the type errors of"geng", studies the errors causes of foreign students learning Chinese, and puts forward the relevant strategies of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Chapter 1 introduction explains the origin and object of this paper, analyzing the research materials of domestic scholars. Fom the three-plane theory Chapter 2analyses "geng". In syntactic, this paper mainly focuses on sentence function of "geng+adj." "geng+V", and the order between "geng" and modal verb, sentence of "ba",preposition phrase to study "geng". Semantically, this paper studies the semantic features of "geng", the semantic presupposition and semantic entailment. In the pragmatics, probes "geng" into the pragmatic presupposition and pragmatic function.Chapter 3 mainly analyzes mainly analyzes the textual function of "geng" from the textural coherence, the text cohesion and the textual function. Chapter 4 based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus, in combination of the chapter 2 and chapter 3analyzes four types of the error of "geng" include syntactic, semantic, pragmatics and text. This part also probes into the cause or errors based on the analysis of error types,and provides appropriate teaching advice, strengthen the attention of textual function of "geng". Chapter 5 conclusion summarizes the main content of this paper.
