The extreme complement of degree is a special kind in Chinese complement system. It comes after an adjective or a verb to describe the degree flexibly. In Chinese language teaching, especially in oral teaching, since the form of the predicate-complement structure is simple, it is easy to be accepted by students, but still many errors occur. In this paper, the research object is Korean Students in Intermediate and Advanced Level, by language comparison between Chinese and Korean, corpus analysis and questionnaire survey, we find the errors’ laws and courses, and give some suggestions to teach Chinese to Korean students and self learning strategies.There are many members in the group of extreme complement of degree. According to the "Long-term Chinese Teaching Outline for Higher Education" and spoken teaching materials using in Nanjing University, eleven of them are selected to be the research object of this thesis. First of all, the Korean translations of the extremecomplements of degree are summarized, and then we sum up the similarities and differences between these two languages when it comes to extreme degree. This paper uses corpus and questionnaire to collect the example sentences to conductthe error analysis. The two corpus are "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus" and "Chinese Interlanguage Corpus of Ji’nan University". The respondents are Korean students in intermediate and advanced levels who study in Nanjing University. The comprehensive analysis of these two aspects show that students tend to use "hen", "budeliao", "ji", "yaoming" and "si" in the predicate-complement structure, and expect of "ji", the error rate of adhesive type of extreme complement of degree is generally higher than the combined type. The all errors can be categorized into five types:omission error, addition error, replacement error, sequential error and mixed error. However, replacement error is noticed as one with highest frequency, while sequential error is found as a negligible class error.The further analysis on the example sentences indicates that omission error, sequential error and mixed error are mainly caused by the misunderstanding of the predicate-complement structure itself. In general, there are following reasons for all the errors:complexity of extreme complement of degree, negative transformation from mother language to Chinese, the negative influence of Chinese learned previously, and teaching factors, etc. Based on these findings, the paper discusses the methods of teaching extreme complement of degree and gives some suggestions to self-study this grammar point.
