| Under the background of the craze for Chinese language all over the world, Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL) was born in order to satisfy the growing demand of international Chinese teachers. Within the very short eight-year history of specialty training of MTCSOL, a systematic and mature discipline system has not yet formed in the field. Each universities and colleges are devoted to explore and seek the best way to cultivate MTCSOL professionals. Since the 1980 s, the case methodology, flourishing in some professional fields such as law and business for more than one hundred years, has gradually attracted more and more attention and made abundant achievements in the field of teacher education, which has also brought revelation to MTSCOL cultivation. Based on the above point, this paper mainly discusses the study and application of case method in the professional development of MTCSOL.Firstly, the significance of case method to the subject of MTCSOL has been discussed in the paper, which points out that case method conforms to the objectives and requirements of this major. Secondly, the basic concepts and definitions of MTCSOL cases have been analyzed along with the detailed discussion about the process of case development, mainly including the introduction of the origins and collections of case materials, the multi-angle analysis of case classifications, the study on the case writing and making, and the display of case samples. Finally,as the main part of this paper, the website design and construction of MTCSOL Course Teaching Case Center have been emphatically introduced, which focus on the detailed analysis of website construction ideas and processes. And the finally built website has been shown in pictures for describing and presenting the overall perspective of the case center. |
