At the end of the nineteenth Century, the film became a new form of entertainment in people’s lives. But in Nazi Germany, the special political and social environment made the film a powerful propaganda weapon of the Nazi government, which played a huge role in the political movement of Germany.This thesis traces the filmic development in Germany during the Nazi period as the breakthrough point,and the Nazi government propaganda as the core,combined with the specific actions taken by Nazi government.Further,it analyzes that the Nazi government is how to make use of film to influence the German people’s ideology, which secures the political operation of the Nazi government.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the main body is divided into four parts:In the first part, it mainly introduces the filmic development of German film in the Nazi period.Nazi leader’s attention has been drawn to the development of the German film since the pre-Nazi era. Under the support of Hitler and Goebbels, the Nazi government actively used the film as a propaganda weapon.The second part and the third part is the core content of this paper. The second chapter mainly analyzes the relationship between the film and the Nazi government in the Nazi period, and analyzes the facts and effects of the propaganda film in Nazi propaganda.The third part mainly analyzes the characteristics of the political propaganda of the German film during the Nazi period.
