On The Folk Dimension Of Chi Zijian’s Novels

Chi Zijian is a writer who has a distinctive folk standpoint and folk feelings.In the creation of contemporary literature,She has always maintained an independent attitude,and her whole literary world has a stable spirit of philosophy and literature, a kind of unity of the theme and temperament,that is her passion for folk earth, her understanding of the affection of the folk people and her digging resource of folk spirit sublimation.Chi Zijian wrote a unique folk feeling in his writing attitude to the heart.She is concerned about the material life and spiritual world of ordinary people. She is eager to build harmonious interpersonal relationship and the relationship between man and nature. She insist on pursuitting for truth, good and beauty.All these have great practical significance to the present society.In this paper, I put folk theory as the main theoretical framework.on the basis of the text reading, I also draw on the folklore and narrative theory. To discuss Chi Zijian’s folk dimensions mainly from three aspects of the folk standpoint, folk life forms and folk narrative.First, Chi Zijian’s civil position is concerned about the bottom. Compared with intellectual enlightenment position, the folk position is close to the people at the bottom of folk.In cognition,Chi Zijian has a sense of identity to the bottom of the people in cognition.Giving understanding to the underlying people emotionally.Giving praise to the bottom of the people from the behavior. Compared with the position of political ideology, folk standpoint and political is alienated to ideological alienation, It is shown as heavy history into people’s daily life, the cruel political movement in a strong family and the underlying regime foul corruption wash away in the freshness of nature.Second, In the folk living space, the most important characteristic of the folk life form is to care about the survival of the people. In material life, family life, diet and the desire constitute to the most basic survival of the elements; In interpersonal relationship, the harmonious interaction between neighbors and strangers and between the sexes is a power for people to face predicament and to support people out of the sufferings of life; In moral belief, evil and justice confrontation, public opinion and family game, death and survival of confrontation, love and hate, and choose to live ordeath highlight the folk tradition of the spiritual freedom.Third, Take care of the simple folk narrative. The narrative time of Chi Zijian’s novels follows the linear narrative of the traditional novel creation. The narrative language is close to oral language people used to spoke.Rhetoric language has strong regional and folk color. In the narrative perspective,Chi Zijian choose the perspective of intellectual disability, female and animal to expose the truth of existence in the narrative discourse which is easy to be neglected.
