With the continuous development of quality-oriented education reform, music education has been emphasized by the entire society. School, family and communities has been paying more attention to the early stage of children’s art cultivation, hoping that art education facilitates children’s artistic accomplishment, comprehensive development, aesthetic ability, and a perfect personality. Childhood is critical period of music educaton in terms of enlightenment. The children’s music literacy is an important part of children music education. As a specific music course, it aims to achieve the goal of music education for children. Furthemore, the use of scientific and advanced teaching methods is of great significance to improve teaching and learning effect as well as to promote the communication between teachers and students. Emile Jaques Dalcroze music teaching method is one of the most influential music teaching methods. Founded by Swiss music educator Emile Jaques Dalcroze, it is grounded in eurhythmics, emphasizing that " experience is prior to cognition. It relys on hearing, using music to stimulate hearing. As listening to the music, one is experiencing the music at the same time, using various parts of the body to feel the inner rhythm of the music and showing the intensity, speed and other elements of the music through the movement of the body.Emile Jaques Dalcroze teaching method has a very wide range of application. Its teaching objects are, regardless of ages, from three years old children to adults. All can benefit from this teaching method, no matter who they are and what level they are. In addition, Dalcroze advanced teaching methods also inspired Orff and Kodaly. The most famous Eurhythmicsin Emile Jaques Dalcroze teaching system has epoch-making significance and great reputation in the domestic and foreign music education circles. His unique teaching ideas, basic concepts and teaching methods have influenced other music educators, scholars as well as special music education and music therapy subjects. Emile Jaques Dalcroze music education concept has become the starting point of contemporary music education reform, and it functions as reference and guidance for our current teaching practice.Childhood is the crucial stage for intelligence, perception and memory development. Music quality education plays an vital role in the development of children’s comprehensive music quality. Therefore, the application of advanced and excellent teaching method in children’s music education can facilitat the development of children’s music education. Contemporarily, in our country, the traditional teaching methods adopted in children music education is boring and hard for children to understand, which makes it difficult to teach younger kids with insufficient knowledge and experience. It greatly reduced the children’s learning enthusiasm and interest, can not reach the proper teaching effect. In order to solve these problems, the Dalcroze music teaching method has its own advantages and can better follow the children’s psychological and physiological characteristics. Thus, it has great practical significance in solving the problems currently faced by children’s music education in China. In order to approach the goal of music education for children, this article starts from the basic theory of Dalcroze teaching method, using Dalcroze music teaching system as the theoretical guidance, combining with children’s music learning psychology and music quality course analysis, and proposing teaching mode suitable for children based on age. This paper uses historical literature collection method, observation research methods, interdisciplinary research method, comprehensive practical analysis and other research methods for the purpose of analyzing Dalcroze teaching method in children’s music literacy teaching practice. It consists of three chapters:through the analysis of the life of Dalcroze, the formimg system of teaching method, Dalcroze teaching philosophy Thought, content and mutual relations, the first chapter reflects the scientific teaching methods, systematic and reference value, expecting music educators to have a comprehensive understanding of Dalcroze teaching method so as to explore appropriate teaching regul suitable for themselves; The second chapter introduces children’s music quality course, teaching content, the use of teaching materials and the teaching purpose, showing the widespread concern and attention from the entire society on the current music education for children, and indicating the importance of children’s music literacy courses and the application of Dalcroze teaching method; Chapter three combines Dalcroze teaching philosophy, teaching methods, and teaching ideas, applying the Dalcroze method to children’s literacy courses and designing a specific lesson in order to provides evidence for our children’s music literacy curriculum design, ensuring that children not only acquire abstract theories from textbook in music education, but also develop their own body language, emotion experience, and creative ability.
