The Comparison Between Chinese- Vietnamese Double Negative Constructions

I am a Vietnamese, study in china, I want to find a topic that for my mother tongue has value of research, for my second language-Chinses also has value too. I found that in many languages such as English, Japansese, Chinses and so on, double negative constructions is really special. Studying Chinese, I have learned many double negative constructions, most of these can also translate into Vietnamese. Although Vietnamese has double negative constructions, it didn’t have any research of this topic. So the first purpose of this thesis is that make sure Vietnamese also has double negative constructions system, the second purpose is compare Chines and Vietnamese’s double negative constructions, and find out the similarities and differences as well as the specials between them.The contents of this thesis has four parts, the first part is theoretical basis. According to the grammar, meaning and logic of double negative constructions, the second part, I research the first kinds, it is "the grammar signs". The third part is "the combination of grammar and meaning". The last is Vietnamese’s special negative and double negative analysis. The main method that this thesis used is compare. In this thesis every examples have Chinese version and Vietnamese version as well, it is parallel translate, structure and emotion comparison. And the next step is found out their similar and difference.This thesis makes a small a contribution to double negative research. First, to Vietnamese grammars, I have made a list of Vietnamese double negative system, defined and classified it, and nobody did it before. Second, to Chinese and Vietnamese of compare research, this is a new topic. This thesis is the first research of Vietnamese double nagative and compare between Chinese and Vietnamese double negative.
