Practice Report On Quality Management Based On The Dictionary Compiling Project-Concise English And Chinese Bilingual Dictionary Of Electric Power Engineering

Translation quality management is a vital part of translation project management and an important way to ensure the quality of translation products that vary significantly in the current domestic translation market product. The poor translation quality are mainly caused by the limited adoption of systematic translation quality management processes. Therefore, it is of great importance to value translation quality management and adopt scientific methods or procedures to assure translation quality, which should be the top priority of current quality management. Under such circumstances, this paper probes into the compiling project of Concise English and Chinese Bilingual Dictionary of Electric Power Engineering Dictionary as an example and analyzes and summarizes quality management practices, problems and solutions, with a focus on exploring the process and procedure of quality management. On such basis, this paper tries to explore the adoption of a complete quality management processes and the philosophy of total involvement of all members under the guidance of the total management theory, attempting to provide a reference for professional translators and students who will conduct similar publishing translation projects.
