The Status Quo Analysis Of Peasants’ Political Participation In Rural Areas And The Routing Selection

Our country is an agricultural country. Political participation is not only a key indicator of political modernization, but also an important content of democratic politics. With the development of politics and economy in our country, citizen’s political participation level has been improved significantly. While the current level of political participation of peasants in remote areas in China is still relatively low that also can’t keep up with the overall pace. Therefore, this article studies current situation of peasants’ political participation in remote areas in China by a detailed investigation and analysis, finds the reasons, and puts forward the countermeasures and feasible suggestions to enhance the peasants’ political participation level in rural areas.The article firstly sketches the concept and characteristics of peasants’ political participation in rural areas. Afterwards, on the basis of analyzing peasants’ political participation in A village, Anhuai Town, Pingnan City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, this article concludes that there are some problems needs to be solved and the level of political participation in rural areas needs to be improved, desperate for correct theoretical guidance. Then the article analyzes the causes which lead to peasants’ political participation problems in the rural areas. In rural areas, peasants’ political participation consciousness is very poor; some cadres lack ideas and beliefs, as well as supervision system; the lack of interest expression mechanism is the main factor influencing the current level of peasants’ political participation in rural areas.Through detailed analysis, the article finally points out four suggestions to improve the level of peasants’ political participation in rural areas. Establish and perfect the political participation rules; improve political participation channels; reform the village governance pattern; at the same time, enhance peasants’ political participation consciousness and political participation ability, etc.Based on political socialization theory, political participation theory, and political development theory, the article does research through case interview and questionnaire survey. The research proposes feasible suggestions to improve the level of peasants’ political participation in rural areas, which has important theoretical significance and practical significance in promoting regional coordinated development and accelerating process of democratization.
