| China is a big agricultural country,with “agriculture,countryside and farmers” as an important issue in China's social development,which also plays a very important role in China's political development system.Farmers' political participation is not only conducive to the sound development of China's political system,but also plays a positive role in the construction of political civilization.Political participation is an important manifestation of political life,an important indicator of a country's democratic development,and a concrete reflection of social fairness and justice.Fully safeguarding farmers' right to participate in politics and improving their level of political participation are not only the fundamental manifestation of political development,but also reveal the connotation of political civilization,which plays a positive role in ensuring the stability of rural society and economic development.Therefore,political participation has become an indispensable part of citizens' political life in building a socialist country with Chinese characteristics.At present,farmers' political participation in China presents a good tendency as a whole.However,due to the imbalance of economic and social development in rural areas,the differences in the promotion of political democracy and the constraints of traditional ideas,it also brings some problems to farmers' political participation.The specific manifestations are lack of subjective consciousness,weak participation consciousness,poor participation skills,inadequate implementation of procedures,and urgently needs to improve fairness and transparency,which all affect farmers' political participation in China.To perfect and improve the level of farmers' political participation in China,we must put forward corresponding countermeasures.Firstly,we should cultivate farmers' awareness of rights and improve their degrees of organization;secondly,we should reform the dual structure of urban and rural areas to promote the integration of urban and rural development;thirdly,we should improve the security system of farmers' political participation in the community and standardize the supply of farmers' communities;fourthly,we should implement cultural and educational undertakings to improve the overall quality of farmers;fifthly,we should carry out the education concerning the legal system and strengthen the concept of democracy and rule of law;sixth,we should improve agricultural productivity and consolidate the economic basis of farmer' political participation;seventh,we should standardize the mechanism of political participation scientifically and reduce the cost of safeguarding farmers' political participation.Only by constantly changing our concepts can we constantly build up democratic consciousness,enhance the conscientiousness and effectiveness of political participation,promote the orderly development of our political system,and promote political stability and economic prosperity in rural areas. |
